It’s fairly obvious that warmer temperatures come with shedding layers. For its latest Spring 2017 collection, the New York-based label Chromat offered a bold and beautiful take on swim and athletic wear to serve every woman’s seasonal needs. Both contemporary and functional, the line featured vibrant color-blocking techniques and mesh embellishments found on chic one-piece suits and hip-hugging leggings. Cool cutouts made the pieces breathable, while zipper fronts contributed an element of sexiness.
Aided by the designer’s background in architecture, the collection also featured a strong attention to shape and detail. Attempting to mirror the bodies of its consumers, the line included a strappy pale blue two piece that resembled an hourglass figure. It is through this mix of practicality, sensuality and structure that Chromat is committed to serving the strong, modern woman – a philosophy further solidified by the brand’s use of models of all shapes, sizes and genders.
