Not without a fight: Filip Roth Absence Lookbook

Men, Campaigns, Collections

From the aged streets of Krakow, Polish designer Filip Roth designs for a future dystopia through his Fall/Winter 2016 campaign titled, “Absence.” Denied color, coats, capes and bomber jackets feel elegant yet sporty in sheepskin and thick, microfiber fabric embellished with silver hardware. Underneath, women’s sheer blouses and tunics reveal banded intimates while men stay secretive in gloved turtlenecks and shirts. The bottoms prove functionality, ranging from jacquard shorts to microfiber trousers with rubber padding over the knees. Swinging from the garments, rubber straps and large buckles create an atmosphere of industrial unrest, a future where one must fight and fend for their own. Whether in a wrap, fitted or transparent skirt, the female model looks ready to dive and duck for cover.
