The power of LRS’s designs is found in a conviction for how clothing is perceived. For the label’s Spring/Summer 2017, shown at New York Fashion Week, this meant a collection of dresses made with a variety of materials, dynamic patterns and intriguing color combinations. A black and white striped turtleneck sweater dress paired with striped orange and white knee length boots complemented the mission of this collection. Heavy fishnetting was done in varying hues of neon. A ghoulish cartoon printed slip dress offered additional support. They point to designer Raul Solis’s inspiration for the club nightlife and urban culture. Tight fitting, body conscious pieces brought a sound impression to the dance of dark psychedelic prints and leather inspired patterns. It was a collection best seen in the eve – functional and flamboyant.
