This season, designer Siki Im traded in his typically conceptual runway experience for a more intimate studio presentation during New York Fashion Week: Men’s, where his Spring 2017 collection provoked an intelligent play on proportions across a range of monk-inspired garments. But unlike his previous runway shows, this season was all about the products on showcase. In a series of drop-crotch cotton jersey pants, blazers and deconstructed sweatshirts, Siki Im’s sophisticated casual aesthetic came to full fruition, complete with several athletic options and running shoes.
