Christian Dada designer Masanori Morikawa cited inspirations Yoko Ono, John Lennon, love, life and paradox for his Spring/Summer 2017 collection. But it certainly wasn’t all about peace this season: Military influences (combat jackets and cargo-style trousers) balanced more sartorial options (structured double-breasted jackets and deconstructed tops), while slogans reading “Imagine” and “Don’t Make Any Noise” contrasted others toting references to vandalism and police protest. The majority of this collection was made up of fitted trousers and sweatshirts, but the outerwear presented throughout the lineup was relaxed, easy to wear and easily deserving of the most attention.
