Sid Neigum is an amalgamation of a classic renaissance man and a modern alchemist. For the Toronto-based designer’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection spewed geometric construction and fluid draping. Sumptuous fabrics, such as camel hair and wool, were draped into sharply cut wrap dresses and over coats. Neigum his Fall/Winter collection around the mathematical prayer of the golden ratio; meaning that every piece of fabric must adhere to 1 x 1.618 proportion. Sharply geometrically fabrics were cut in mathematical precision, but hung in geometric fluidity.
