Well into the Spring/Summer 2017 season, it’s only too easy to grow weary of the onslaught of designers and collections. As if desensitized by this visual inundation, the clothes and fashions start to bleed into one another and it all becomes a part of that fashion week blur. Luckily, SABINNA by Sabinna Rachimova had a tart kick to her collection at London Fashion Week, a real sort of Vitamin-C boost that felt refreshing and cool. Citrine shades like lemon and grapefruit paired well with oxford blue linen and neutral knitwear. The maximal print immediately recalled the collage work of Henri Matisse, channeling the aura of an artsy bon vivant. Flowers popped up across trousers, jackets and even footwear as floral appliques, but also in crocheted skirts and sweaters with shaped edges. Only a year or two into her career, SABINNA has already established herself as a knitwear aficionado, a real live-wire to watch out for in the future seasons to come.
