A contemporary, urban landscape played an underlying role throughout Berenik’s Fall/Winter 2016 campaign. Whether revealing itself through dot-obscured imagery or coming out in full force with snapshots of a metropolitan train system, the well-honed part alludes in color and spirit to the very feel of the collection: Subtle yet stunning.
A trained graphic designer turned fashion designer, creative director Veronika Brusa teamed up with photographer Rémi Pujol and makeup artist Cheyenne Timperio for this season’s image-filled campaign. Models Brianna Mellon and Somalia Knight appeared fresh faced and outfitted in the collection’s latest looks that were every bit true-to-form Berenik – simple, technical and decidedly hip. But, what this Swiss fashion label does so beautifully with this collection is interweave their fascination with materials and functionality with the desire to produce cool clothes for a timeless range of ages.
Young or old, casual or chic, they all work: The checkerboard stitching effect featured within the campaign would make an extraordinary option for a loose-fitted jacket; the balance between black separates, graphic photo prints and the saturated hues of beige and cream showcases an almost Japanese minimalism; the square shapes of Berenik’s latest installment of its eyewear and accessories lines were straight forward and effortlessly cool. That’s subtlety with a punch.
The collection will arrive in stores next month, September 2016.
