Mid-century prints and colorways are the star of the RUN Spring/Summer 2017 collection at London Fashion Week. A wardrobe to be worn poolside in some luxurious chateau, it took from the idyllic memories of the ’60s. Bold monochrome stripes and a hounds-tooth derivative evoked a cinematic nostalgia of Hollywood starlets. Silk blouses tucked into full-length skirts were still light and summery, while cami-pantsuits draped dramatically along the floor. Acidic yellow hues were downplayed with pops of violet and olive, but the overall effect was fresh and lighthearted. Basking in the sun, it’s only necessary to wear these outfits with a cocktail in hand.
